Not Just Another Music Startup

Zubin and Peter knew that something was missing from the industry:

  1. Artist ownership & control of the music and business

  2. Lack of brand development and education for emerging artists.

Olympus Projects was shortly born thereafter.

It marks almost two years since Zubin Gadhoke and Peter Robinson decided to join forces and launch their first company. Both of these men have always had a love and passion for music, but Olympus Projects - their music management and consulting startup - symbolizes the beginning of their professional careers, as a team, in the industry.

With digital technologies, the overall number of artists is dramatically increasing, but music labels aren’t successfully able to scale with the number of artists. Labels continue to provide value only to the top artists — or those who are making the most money.

“All of the emerging artists are underserved, and we aim to solve that problem by providing education and coaching to artists at scale so they can be their own CEO’s and build a business without needing to win the backing from a major label,” says Zubin.

Confidence, passion, creativity. These are just a few words to describe this team and their vision for Olympus — they aim to solve a problem nobody has been able to.

However, don’t underestimate this dynamic duo. These two college students have over 10 years of combined experience in music and management.

Zubin has over two years of experience in artist management and over five in music production. He’s a Computer Science major and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor at the University of Maryland, College Park. Zubin’s educational background in technology allows him to lead the team in technology development and tech relations. One of his primary focus points is finding new ways that artists can utilize existing and emerging technology to manage their digital businesses.

Peter has over seven years of experience in artist management. He began managing and networking with talent in 2011 and had immediate success. Nick Papamitrou, an early client of Peter’s, became the first producer signed to Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers Records in 2015. Peter was recruited to wrestle Division 1 at the University of Maryland, where he studied Public Relations and minored in Classical Mythology. During his junior year, he decided to step away from his life as a student-athlete to put all of his focus into his artists and Olympus.

With two Grammy-nominated clients and a Billboard charting artist signed, it’s not difficult to argue that Olympus Projects is a startup to watch out for.
